Under the concept of acceptance in separated areas and the practice of three-stage of progressive testament of grade, classification and treatment, the inmates, after a period of time for environmental adaptation and assessment, are assigned to workshops to receive operational training or take vocational skill training of various kinds of occupations.

In addition to contract labor and self-run business, for the purpose of helping the inmates to have the skills, the Institute assists them acquiring Type C Technician Qualification for easy finding jobs after leaving the Institute. The Institute also open training classes of furniture carpentry, generalization advertisement, interior layout and computer information, etc as well as short training courses of pottery and picture mounting so that the inmates could start their own careers for self-supporting.
